Club history

"Andijan" football club was founded in 1964. It started with the name "Irmash" and then changed the name to "Spartak". In that season, he participated in the 5th zone, "B class" of the former Union Championship.

Until now, the name of the team has changed nine times: "Spartak", "Andijan", "Andijanets", "Avtomobilist", "Vodnik", "Olimpiy", "Textilshik", "Pakhtakor", "Navroz". Since 1997, it has been called "Andijan".

He has been participating in the Uzbek Superliga (formerly the Premier League) since 1992. He spent 1992–2004, 2006–2012, 2014–2016, 2019–2021 in the Championship of Uzbekistan. In 2005, 2013, 2017, 2018 and 2022 seasons, he participated in the first league (now Proleague). Since 2023, it has continued its participation in the Super League of Uzbekistan.

In the history of the championship of Uzbekistan, the striker of the team "Andijan" Bakhtiyor Hamidullayev was the best scorer twice. He scored 24 goals in 1999 and 22 goals in 2002.

In the 2023 championship, the Albanian legionnaire Rubin Hebay of our team was recognized as the best player of "Superliga-2023". According to the end of the season, the head coach of our team, Alexander Khomyakov, and striker Rubin Hebay took a place in the symbolic national team of the championship.

The highest result of the "Andijan" team in the championship of Uzbekistan was recorded in 2008, when it won the 5th place in the competition table.

In 2024, the "Andijan" club won the Cup of Uzbekistan for the first time in its history as a worthy gift for its 60th anniversary. On October 5, Andijan won a dramatic 3-2 victory against Navbahor at the Istiqlal Stadium in Ferghana and lifted the Cup. This is the team's biggest win in its history. "Andijan", which is opening a new page, won a ticket to the Asian Champions League for the first time and made its debut in OCHL 2 in 2025.

The best scorer of all times in the history of our team — Bakhtiyar Hamidullayev. He was far ahead of others: he scored 179 goals in our national championship, and more than 20 goals in the Cup of Uzbekistan. More than 200 goals in total. Bakhtiyar is recognized as a legend of "Andijan".
