When did you first hear about this offer and how did the transition to your former team go?
Rustam TurdimurodovI first heard this information from my agent. The news came when the summer transfer window opened. Of course, we had options from other clubs. After considering everything, we finally decided on "Andijan".
You played here during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. During that year and a half of your career, there were also bright moments. What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think about it?
Rustam TurdimurodovThe first thing that comes to my mind from those times is that we created history for the first time in Andijan. We certainly remember how we lifted the Cup of Uzbekistan in Fergana and pleased the people of Andijan.
A year later, you rejoined your former club. What changes have you noticed since your return?
Rustam TurdimurodovFirst of all, the conditions have changed. New base, all conditions are here. New training grounds, indoor environment, comfortable conditions have been updated. Everything is great.
The second round is important for the team and for you. Fans have high expectations from you as well as all players. So, are you full of motivation right now?
Rustam TurdimurodovFirst of all, my agent helped me choose "Andijon". Because I have been here, I have played, and we came to help Andijan. We have 15-16 games ahead of us, we have set a goal to score more goals, record good statistics, help the team and become a contender for the championship. If God wills, we will try.
Two years ago, you created history with the team by winning the Cup, and you also took part in it. This time you have that chance again. Why is the club continuing to participate in the Cup...
Of course, my goal is to repeat the good times before and lift the Cup over our heads once again.
How many goals are you aiming to score for the team?
Rustam TurdimurodovI want to score more goals this year. My first goal is to score 10 goals. Because when I played before, I scored 8-9 goals. Now I want to hit more.
"Andijan" is waiting for a valley derby against "Neftchi". What do you expect from the upcoming match? In any case, there will be a different atmosphere in "Babur Arena" and you have missed such an atmosphere.
I have been to many derbies. The Valley Derby is different anyway. I played when I was here. In this derby, we will go out only for "Andijan", for victory. We will give it our all, prepare 100 percent for the game and come out ready.
What can you say for the fans?
